Care Instruction

Every piece at Zainab Jibran Studio is hand-embellished on pure fabrics. With the right care, it will last for years.

General Care

• Dry clean only. Do not machine wash or hand wash.
• Store in a breathable cotton garment bag, away from direct sunlight and humidity.
• Keep away from perfume, deodorant, and makeup — apply these before dressing and allow to dry.
• Do not spray water or iron directly on embellished areas.

By Fabric

• Silk & Sheesha Silk: Dry clean only. Iron on low heat, on the reverse side, with a cloth in between.
• French Velvet: Never iron directly. Steam lightly from the inside, or hang in a steamy bathroom to release creases. Store flat or on a padded hanger.
• Pashmina & Karandi: Dry clean. Fold rather than hang to preserve shape. Store with cedar or lavender to protect from moths.
• Net & Lace: Handle gently. Store flat, wrapped in tissue paper.

Handwork (Gota, Kora Dabka, Aari, Appliqué)

• Avoid friction with bags, jewellery, or rough surfaces.
• Wrap embellished areas in tissue paper when storing or travelling.
• If a thread or motif loosens, do not pull it — contact us and we will guide you or repair it at the studio.
